LDA Mostar announces Pop-Up Market and Pop-Up Galleries in Mostar

Local Democracy Agency Mostar announces upcoming ‘’POP-UP Market’’, event organized within the CLINK project, which will be held on September 3, 2019 on the plateau of Mala Tepa in Mostar starting at 6:00 pm. The POP-UP Market is designed as an exhibition and sales market where young artists from Bosnia and Herzegovina will exhibit their artwork and handicrafts inspired by the cultural heritage of their country.

Part of the POP-UP Market program is planned for the ‘’POP-UP Galleries’’, where visitors will have the opportunity to view but also to be a part of performances by young artists through traditional songs, dances and dramatic works based on BiH's cultural heritage. The event will also be an opportunity for all visitors to enjoy the traditional gastronomy of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The POP-UP Market and POP-UP Galleries are preceded by the first solo exhibition by young photographer Nermin Krupic, also inspired by the cultural heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to be held on August 30, 2019. at Black Dog Pub in Mostar starting at 8:00 pm. The photos of Nermin Krupić will also be displayed within POP-UP Market.

As a part of the POP-UP Galleries, LDA Mostar in cooperation with Street Arts Festival Mostar, will be hosting young artists who will paint 3 murals inspired by the cultural heritage of BiH, in a period from 1st-8th of September, 2019.

City of Mostar will in the coming period become richer for the murals of Aleksa Santic, famous Mostar poet and his beloved Emina, as well as for the mural of the last Bosnian Queen Katarina Kosaca – Kotromanic.
