After a decade in journalism, Jelena joined the team at the Agency for Local Democracy Mostar, where she spent nearly nine years serving as Head of the Communications and Public Relations Department. In this role, she was responsible for developing and coordinating the organization’s communication activities, ensuring that the work of LDA Mostar was presented clearly, transparently, and accessibly to the public. At the same time, she coordinated communications across multiple projects and actively participated in the implementation of various project activities.
Since early 2026, Jelena has been serving as a Project Coordinator, focusing on planning, coordinating, and implementing project activities, as well as strengthening collaboration with partners and stakeholders at both local and international levels. Her experience in communications, media, and project work contributes to the effective delivery of initiatives that promote democracy, civic engagement, and sustainable community development.
Jelena also has extensive experience in research, with a focus on migration and good governance. She is a certified expert in the European Label of Governance Excellence (ELoGE) of the Council of Europe and has played an active role in implementing the ELoGE program in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
