Description: 

The project aims to support the promotion and effective implementation of the Gender Action Plan of the City of Mostar for the period 2023–2027, a key document for advancing gender equality and strengthening the role of women in the local community.

Based on the fact that the Plan was developed through a participatory process involving representatives of institutions and civil society this project seeks to ensure that the Plan’s content and objectives are recognized, well understood, and practically applicable.

Through a targeted training and an informative-educational campaign, the project will enable greater involvement of key stakeholders and contribute to creating the conditions for sustainable and measurable implementation of the Plan.

General Objective: To contribute to the effective implementation of the Gender Action Plan of the City of Mostar for the period 2023–2027, by building capacities of the stakeholders and promoting the importance of its realisation. 

Target groups

• Local authorities and local public officers
• Sector-specific stakeholders dealing with the issues of women’s rights and gender equality 
• Civil society organisations
• Citizens and local community

Key Activities:

Training cycle for civil society organizations working in the field of women’s rights and gender equality, focusing on:

• Presentation of the Gender Action Plan of the City of Mostar 2023–2027
• Topics related to women’s rights, gender equality, civic activism, and participation in decision-making
• Project writing and implementation

Promotional campaign aimed at informing the wider public about the goals and importance of the Gender Action Plan and encouraging support for its implementation
