The ”Economic Inclusion and Justice for Women in the Western Balkan” (EWI Project) is funded by the Austrian Development Agency and implemented by CARE Austria and CARE Balkans
(CARE) in cooperation with four partner organizations in the region (ENECA, LINK, SDC and
TEHNOPOLIS).
LDA Mostar, in cooperation with CARE Balkans and the Entrepreneurship and Business Association LINK, participates as a sub-grant beneficiary of the project, which aims to empower and implement the economic rights of women in the Western Balkans.
The role of LDA Mostar in the project is:
- Advocacy and engagement regarding the economic activation of women at the community
level in which they operate.
- Implementation of field activities (organization of workshops for women and men in
marginalized and poorer communities, inclusion of participants, monitoring of women involved in various project activities, all with the aim of advocating for a gender-responsive community.
- Connecting key stakeholders and beneficiaries, mediating between project participants and
local institutions, including competent employment services and social work centers.
- Support for the integration of gender-sensitive mechanisms into employment and
entrepreneurship programs.
- Support for women entrepreneurs and those seeking employment (advisory support, networking, participation in trainings for beneficiaries).
- Awareness raising and transformation of social norms (participation in community awareness
activities, and promotional and info campaigns).
