Open Call for Young Artists: Summer Pop-up Galleries in 9 Communities
CLINK project consortium is pleased to announce the open call for young artists inviting them to submit their cultural heritage inspired artwork. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to display/perform their art during ‘’Summer Pop-up Galleries’’, organized within the frame of the project CLINK – Cultural Heritage Linking diversities in Europe, supported by EU programme Europe for Citizens.
About
Summer Pop-up Galleries’’ are conceived as a less formal public art display which gives new use to familiar public spaces, thus contributing to the new urban identity of the city. Pop-up galleries encourage the viewer to interact with the artwork and are intended to open up conversation and discussion about relevant social issues.
‘’Summer Pop-up Galleries’’ will be organized in a period July-September 2019 in 9 communities within 6 EU and Western Balkans countries: Mostar, Prijedor, Zavidovići (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Subotica and Knjaževac (Serbia), Nikšić (Montenegro), Sisak (Croatia), Heraklion (Greece) and Vlora (Albania).
Who can Apply?
Call for submission is open to wide range of individuals and collaborative groups of artists aged 15-30, living in the respective countries. Non-formal collaborative groups of artists should define a team leader who will apply on behalf of the collective. Accordingly, the application should make reference to the all artists involved and document their respective CVs and joint Artist Statement.
Eligibility & Terms
- All profiles of artists and all forms of art are equally eligible (fine art, street art, graphics, photography, installations, poetry, liteature, music, theater, dance, film/video, light performances, fusion of art forms and/or other forms of artistic expression)
- The artwork needs to be in line with the general theme of the call – cultural heritage (tangible and/or intangible) of their own country, its preservation, promotion and sustainable use
- All art forms/artworks submitted must be ready to be performed or installed
Logistical support
In accordance with the CLINK project activity implementation propositions, project partenrs will provide logistical support to the selected artists in organizing their art display within the frame of ‘’Summer Pop-up Galleries’’.

As of Jun 6, the call for young artists: Summer Pop-up Galleries will be published on the official web page and social media of each project's partner.
